To all our wonderful family members and friends, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for showing up and making our recent family bash so special. Your presence, love, laughter, and support made the celebration a true success—it simply wouldn’t have been the same without each of you. A very special and warm thank-you goes to our family members who traveled long distances to be with us. We truly appreciate the time, effort, and love it took to make the journey. We are so grateful for the memories we created together and feel incredibly blessed to have such amazing family and friends in our lives.

A SPECIAL THANKS
A very special thank-you to everyone who RSVP’d in advance and supported the family bash before the event. Your early commitment was incredibly important because it helped us cover the upfront costs and gave us the resources needed to make the celebration happen. Also a than you to those who help setup/cleanup. We also want to give a heartfelt and special thanks to the Ragland’s, who came together and generously contributed from their own pockets to help make everything possible. Your generosity and willingness to step up truly made a difference, and we are deeply grateful. This is a great reminder of why RSVPing and contributing when you can is so important—when everyone gives a little, no one person has to give a lot. Thank you to all of our RSVP families and to the Ragland’s for showing what can happen when we come together and support one another!

IT WAS SOMETHING SPECIAL
What made this family gathering so special was the love, laughter, memories, and togetherness that filled the room. The video screens showing photos and videos of our family from 36 years ago touched the hearts of so many, bringing back cherished memories and even causing a few tears to flow. The Spades table created some of the best laughs of the day, with family members eagerly competing, talking a little trash, and doing whatever it took to win! The oversized Jenga game was another highlight, bringing kids and adults together as everyone cheered, laughed, and held their breath with each block that was pulled. It was a simple game that created a lot of fun and gave different generations a chance to play, interact, and enjoy one another. The automated Photo Booth gave couples, families, and individuals the opportunity to capture fun and unforgettable moments that we’ll be able to look back on years from now and reminisce about. The food was absolutely delicious and brought everyone together around the tables, where family members shared meals, conversations, laughter, and joy. And, of course, the music was the glue that tied it all together, setting the mood, keeping the energy alive, and creating the perfect atmosphere for a day of family, fun, and memories. It was more than just a gathering—it was a celebration of where we’ve been, who we are, and the family bonds that continue to bring us together.

THE TAKE AWAY
Family gatherings like this are important because life is too short and family is too valuable to take for granted. We will inevitably get upset with one another, have disagreements, say things we wish we could take back, and sometimes allow anger to create distance between us—but those moments should never be strong enough to destroy the relationships we share. We have to remember that love means learning to forgive, giving grace, and choosing each other even when it isn’t easy. Heaven will be filled with those who forgave, showed grace, and loved unconditionally, and that is the kind of love we should strive to show one another while we are here. The goal of this bash was never simply to throw a party and have a good time together; the deeper goal was to bring our family together, reconnect, heal old wounds, strengthen relationships, and begin building REAL LOVE back into our family. If we continue to choose forgiveness over anger, love over pride, and togetherness over division, we can build a family bond that lasts for generations.
